For those anxiously awaiting the announcement of AMD’s next round of Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards, the wait is likely to come to an end during next week’s Gamescom 2023 event.

In a Wednesday Tweet General Manager of the Graphics Business Unit Scott Herkelman hinted that the AMD Radeon team was preparing for “our next major product announcements!” at the August 25 Gamescom event in Germany.

Please join the @AMDRadeon team at Gamescom next week for our next major product announcements!

If you can make it to Germany and will be one of the couple hundred of thousand visitors attending one of the biggest gaming events I hope to talk to you in person!… pic.twitter.com/Te7l7ufU59

In all likelihood this is referring to the Radeon RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT GPUs, given that their existence was confirmed in a recent leak. No doubt these midrange  “enthusiast” graphics cards will be in high demand once revealed. Speculation has it that they will retail for $449 and $549 respectively.

As for Gamescom 2023, it promises to be yet another great show, especially on the Xbox side with over 30 games showcased including (albeit not in playable form) Starfield, with which AMD is the exclusive partner on PC.
