Air France and Italian bank UBI launch official apps on Windows Phone

Two companies have launched new apps on Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform, which is quite nice compared to the recent news of Chase and Bank of America electing to “retire” their Windows Phone apps.

Starting with the Air France app, you can lock in your reservation for a flight within the app, purchase tickets, and much more. The app also makes it easier for you to find what you need and receive assistance throughout your trip. “Get away now with the new Air France smartphone app! Your trip at your fingertips. Purchase tickets, check in, modify your reservation, view your flight status or your Flying Blue account: organize every aspect of your trip from your mobile phone,” the app description reads.

Finally, Italian bank UBI has launched two apps on Windows Phone — UBI Trading and UBI Banking. The Trading app allows you to seize opportunities in the stock market, giving you a view of the major financial markets. The Banking app allows you to manage your accounts and your prepaid card, perform transfers, payments, and more.

You can check out the three apps at the VIA links below. If you fly Air France, we highly recommend the Air France app. If you are a banker at UBI and you have a Windows Phone, snag the apps to compliment your experience. All three apps are free.
