AdDuplex Breaks Down The Numbers For Windows Phone Sales Over Christmas Time – onmsft.com

AdDuplex breaks down the numbers for Windows Phone sales over Christmas time

Cross-platform advertising network AdDuplex has released the statistics they have gathered over Christmas concerning new Windows Phone activations. As expected there was a spike in activations after Christmas when new phones were activated. When looking at volume, Lumia phones take the lead, but when looking at new growth, the Blu Win HD takes the lead. The Blu Win HD still ships a lower volume of phones, but around 110% increase is a good sign that consumers like the phone (read our review here).

Looking at the increase in activations as a whole over the 25th and 26th, it looks like Windows Phones saw a 10% increase in number of activations. Other than the Blu Win HD, most of the increases can be attributed to mid to low end phones like the 735, 635, and 530. These phones are cheap compared to major flagships like the Galaxy S5 and the iPhone 6, which makes them ideal for first phones to kids on Christmas morning.
