When you own a Windows 10 computer, it is sometimes good to have a backup just in case something does go wrong. So, be it an external drive, or a network location, Microsoft already has various methods for you to backup your precious files. Today, however, it now appears that Windows 10 may soon be gaining additional OneDrive backup features.

As noted over at WindowsCentral, a leaked Windows 10 build, 41278, shows that Microsoft is working on providing you more than just backups of files and media. In addition, a screenshot shows the option to turn on or off the ability for OneDrive to store your apps, passwords, settings and accounts.

While all current insider versions of Windows 10 do not have these new OneDrive options, a similar functionality already exists in Windows 10 Mobile. So, with Microsoft’s attitude towards having “universal” apps the new OneDrive backup options may make sense. We are still waiting for more news about this, and more news on an improved OneDrive, so it is best to stay tuned to us for more information.
