Following the conclusion to Call of Duty: WWII’s Winter Siege event, Activision has announced the latest Community Event, “The Resistance”. The event will see 2 new game modes, a permanent Division, free supply drops and more. Let’s take a look at what you can expect in-game.
Game modes
There will be 2 new, temporary game modes coming with The Resistance. The first of which is Prop Hunt, which will see players hiding as in-game objects and it is up to the enemy team to find them and kill them. This mode will be available throughout the event.
Secondly, there will be Demolition, a spin-off of Search & Destroy, it will enable respawns, as well as deliver fast-paced action in a classically loved mode. This mode will be available for only 2 weeks during the event.
Division
Resistance is a new division that will be arriving in The Resistance event. It will be available permanently and focuses on the element of surprise and delivering assistance in close-quarters combat.
Once fully-leveled up, Resistance skills will include a Pistol Tactical Knife combo, the ability to scramble nearby enemy mini-maps, an additional pistol attachment, and a mini-map indicator in the direction of nearby hostiles. The Resistance Division also includes a new pistol, which can be used by all Divisions, the 9mm SAP pistol.
New weapons
Available via Orders from Major Howard, a few new weapons are being added to the game, which include:
- Volkssturmgewehr – assault rifle
- Orso – sub-machine gun
- Combat Knife – melee weapon
