Activision and Microsoft working on Xbox One version of The Amazing Spider Man 2

Last week, the game publisher Activision announced that it is indefinitely delaying the release date of the Xbox One version of the game title, The Amazing Spider Man 2. Just weeks ahead of the expected release, the announcement came as a bit of a surprise.  Now, in a new statement, the company told Eurogamer that it is working with Microsoft “in an effort to release” the new Spider Man title to Xbox One at some point.

Last week, Activision removed the Xbox One references from The Amazing Spider Man 2 website. Later the same week, the company issued a statement, which wasn’t thrilling for Xbox One fans.  “We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One,”a spokesperson for the publisher stated. “When and whether ASM2 is released on Xbox One is TBD.”

The company has now told the gaming website that it is working with Microsoft to get the Xbox Version of the title ready. However, it didn’t give a specific date. “We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One,” an Activision spokesperson told Eurogamer. “Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on May 2nd, 2014 as previously announced.”
