The Windows 10 Mobile ecosystem continues to build, with a number of key Microsoft OEMs making new smartphones that leverage the mobile operating system’s key strengths. Acer is one such OEM, and they’ve been touting the upcoming Jade Primo flagship Windows 10 Mobile device for a few months now.
Today, Acer pushed out a new video highlighting the Jade Primo’s multitasking prowess, which of course reflects well on Windows 10 Mobile itself. Here’s the video:
If nothing else, the video is interesting for showing the progression of the PC from barely portable behemoths to today’s handheld supercomputers. Certainly, multitasking is a legitimate advantage of Windows 10 Mobile when you consider its ability to run apps on an external screen while remaining a usable device on its own.
The Jade Primo is looking like a decent-enough high-end Windows 10 Mobile device, with the following specs:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC
- 3GB of RAM
- 32GB internal storage
- 802.11ac Wifi
- 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen
- 21MP AF rear camera and 8MP “wide-angle selfie” front cam
- USB Type-C port
We’re still looking for official release information, along with any notion of whether the Jade Primo will make it to the US. In the meantime, check out the video for some good shots of the smartphone in action.
