ABCOM partners with The Bunker to provide Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery to its clients throughout the UK

The Bunker Secure Hosting Ltd, provider of Ultra* Secure Data Centres and Managed Services, has announced that ABCOM has chosen The Bunker to help provide business continuity and disaster recovery solutions to its clients.

ABCOM was originally approached by one of its major insurance clients requesting a highly secure disaster recovery solution for its network infrastructure. ABCOM needed to supply a data storage service with exceptionally high data protection levels and high availability to minimise downtime.

After careful research, ABCOM chose The Bunker as its partner due to the peace of mind The Bunker could provide to its client. The client now has a robust disaster recovery plan and ABCOM has the confidence to offer this service to other clients. ABCOM is now able to roll out similar solutions to any company needing to implement a realistic and affordable business continuity plan.

Yann Davies, Managing Director at ABCOM, said, “We needed to implement a bullet-proof business continuity plan for one of our main clients. Having 24/7 remote systems monitoring and proactive remedial services was great for them, but we now needed to go one step further.

“In situ, we had a disaster recovery schedule that sent the data offsite. However, we needed that data to be housed at The Bunker, where failovers and other important security measures are in place to ensure maximum uptime. The remit was clear and The Bunker ticked all the boxes.

“Meeting with their technical crew, I was happy to encounter like-minded people with IT security at the forefront of their concerns. We look forward to working with the Bunker on many more projects.”

Simon Neal, Chief Operating Officer at The Bunker, said, “The Bunker has worked closely with ABCOM to provide their clients with an ultra secure disaster recovery service. Data protection and high availability are paramount to any organisation but especially those that are within the insurance industry such as ABCOM’s clients. Our partnership with ABCOM highlights the growing number of organisations looking to develop business continuity plans to protect their highly valuable data. We look forward to growing our relationship with ABCOM in the coming months.”
