5 more games are leaving Xbox Game Pass soon

Xbox Game Pass

Unfortunately its that time to announce the first wave of games that will be removed from Xbox Game Pass mid-month. For the first wave of May 2023 Game Pass removals we have 5 games on the list, which can be viewed below.

There initially seemed to be a mix-up with the game My Friend Pedro listed among the removals inside the Xbox app. However, that game is no longer among the removals.

Typically Game Pass sees two rounds of game removals around the middle and end of each month. As per usual, all these first round removals for May will occur on the 15th. The good news is that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can get these for a discount of at least 20% on the Xbox Store (links are in the list) before they leave the service. So if there is something on the list you can’t live without, now would be the best time to act.

With all that said, May is looking to be a solid month for Game Pass, at least so far. Redfall released on May 2 as a day one Game Pass addition, and fairy tale-inspired action-adventure Ravenlok releases on Game Pass today, May 4. Also coming to Game Pass in May:

  • Weird West: Definitive Edition (Xbox Series X|S) – May 8
  • Shadowrun Trilogy (PC) – May 9
  • Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 (Cloud, Xbox, and PC) – May 11

And you can bet that there will be more Game Pass titles announced as the month progresses.
