Forza Horizon 4, Microsoft’s critically-acclaimed open-world racing game released back in 2018 on Xbox One and Windows 10, is now available on Steam. This is the first Forza game to be released on Valve’s popular platform, and it’s joining other blockbuster Microsoft games such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The Steam version of Forza Horizon 4 supports cross-play with players on Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One consoles, just like the Steam versions of Halo: MCC and Gears 5. Since its release in September 2018, Forza Horizon 4 received two paid DLCs, a new “Eliminator” Battle Royale mode, as well as a Super7 mode featuring community-created challenges.
Over 600 cars are now available in the game, and all players who log between now and March 14 at 10 a.m. PDT. will get the 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS for free. Forza Horizon starts at $59.99 on Steam, and the Ultimate Edition bundle that includes all DLCs is priced at $99.99.
Forza Horizon 4 remains free to play with Xbox Game Pass for PC and Console, but bringing it to Steam is really great news for racing fans. The Forza Horizon series is one of Microsoft’s most popular game franchises, and it will be interesting to see if the less arcade Forza Motorsports series could come next on Valve’s platform.
