It’s not long since we learned that Halo 5: Guardians would be making its way to Xbox One and even though it’s not due for release until late next year, you can already pre-order your copy. If you’re prepared to hand over your credit card details, you can reserve a copy of the game which is priced at $59.99.
The Microsoft Store shows that the release date for “the next installment in the Halo universe” is set for December 31 2015. It’s not clear whether this is the definitive release date or just a placeholder, but the appearance of the game in the store is already causing ripples of excitement.
Even though the proposed release date for the game — a collaboration between 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios — is some 18 months away, there are already five-star reviews for the title. There are no screenshots, but there is teaser video that you can check out below.
As this is a pre-order, Halo 5’s release details are not yet guaranteed. “Pre-orders are covered by our Pre-Order Price Guarantee and can be reviewed, updated, or canceled at any time before pre-order items are released.” Microsoft is expected to showcase Halo 5 during the E3 event on Monday, June 9th.
Have you pre-ordered? What are you waiting for?!
