Microsoft’s Windows 8 has been getting many new apps that make the OS seem much more appealing to new users, and today we are going to highlight an app called FootLOL: Epic Fail League, which is published by HeroCraft. The game is a mix of soccer and a futuristic world, with over 60 levels to beat and the ability to play online with others too!

“We all love football – but how badly do you want to win? FootLOL lets you use mines, shields, aliens, cows, guns and many more cheats to decimate the opposing team and protect your players. Play against your friend or an AI opponent,” the app description states.

The game is for sure a one of a kind. We have games like Temple Run which have the user just play until the highest score, or in terms of soccer, to win the game. But this game spices it up by combining a hi-tech world and the traditional soccer game to make the experience feel much more enjoyable and entertaining. “Opponents often have the same tricks you do so it’s not as simple as knocking the ball in the back of the net,” the app description adds.

The game requires tactics and some strategic skills in order to enjoy the full experience the developers want you to have. You can fight against other players around the world, and if you want to build your skills, you have the option to play versus a computer player.

The game is a 45 MB download that later becomes 110 MB once installed. The only downside of this game is that it’s not compatible with Windows RT, only Windows 8 x86 and x64. Surprisingly, it also requires a CPU that has a speed of 3 GHz and 1 GB of RAM.

The game is only $2.99, we’ve put the download link below. If you end up buying it, tell us what you think about the game in the comment section below!
