Flipboard receives a minor update fixing bugs, after adding support for 512MB devices

The Flipboard app for Windows Phone got in one last update in 2014. The latest update is small, and simply improves performance and squashes a few bugs. In a previous update released roughly two weeks ago, Flipboard added support for 512MB devices.

Flipboard had not received an update in quite some time, so it is good to see these updates for Windows Phone. Here is a full list of the improvements over the past month:

  • Support for devices with 512MB of RAM
Native Windows Phone controls for an overall, smoother experience
  • Polish for tapping to expand images, notifications, and accounts on Flipboard
  • More bug fixes and performance improvements

It is good to see Flipboard making performance improvements because sometimes when you open the app, it takes about 10-15 seconds before Flipboard is able to compile stories for you. In those instances, I would have to close Flipboard and re-open it. Sometimes it would work, other times it would not. Thankfully, it looks like the latest update has fixed the issue. If you have not done so already, download Flipboard for Windows Phone and Windows 8.1 via the links below!
