Sports app for Windows 8

Microsoft has rolled out two new updates for two of the company’s free and popular apps, Bing Sports and Bing Finance. Microsoft has yet to disclose exactly what is new in these updates, but they are available for your download pleasure.

The Finance app and Sports app are part of Bing’s suite of apps, including Weather and News. The change log for these two apps have yet to be updated in the Windows Store, at the time of this post, so we don’t really know what is new or what has changed.

Here is a quick synopsis of the app description, for those who have yet to install these apps for Windows 8 or Windows RT:

“The Sports app, powered by Bing, makes it easy for you to keep up with all the sports and teams you care about. Designed for Windows, the Sports app puts control at your fingertips. Swipe through the app to get an overview of the top headlines, scores, schedules, standings, statistics, and much more across all major sports. Personalize the experience so you can track the leagues and teams you are most interested in. The Sports app features high-resolution pictures and images to give you a rich and immersive experience,” the app description reads.

“The Finance app, powered by Bing, helps you stay on top of fast-changing market conditions so you can make the most informed financial decisions. Designed for Windows, the Finance app puts control at your fingertips. Swipe through colorful charts for a quick read on the day’s events. Rich graphics help you find the latest mortgage, auto, and credit card rates. Personalize the Watchlist to track your portfolio,” the app description reads.
