Aerize Explorer for Windows Phone receives a major update, adds several new features

A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about a 3rd-party app, Aerize Explorer for Windows Phone. It has now received a major update that addresses the most requested features. Let’s dive into it.

Windows Phone doesn’t sport a file manager or explorer – at least not yet – Aerize Explorer might as well be one of the best applications in that category. In the new update, it has added several new features. The key additions include:

  • Selection Mode: Now you can simply tap and hold on to a file or folder and get a context menu with all basic options.
  • Thumbnail previews: Thanks to thumbnail previews, it is now easier than ever to differentiate one photo from another as it uses actual image files as previews.
  • Pinning file and folders: Wouldn’t it be nice if you could pin some files and folders to the start screen? The new version of Aerize Explorer has tiles for files and folders. Simply select a file or folder, tap the pin command and you will have a shortcut on the start screen.

Furthermore, the update also brings general performance improvements. Visit the download link below to snag the updated version.
