Several features are being removed from the Microsoft 365 subscription-based versions of Microsoft Excel next month in June. Spotted by Thurrott.com, the list includes Money in Excel, Wolfram Data Types in Excel, as well as several offers from Microsoft’s partners.
If you recall, Money in Excel was first introduced back in June of 2020, and we even went hands-on with it. The feature was designed to help you track your finances. Unfortunately, though, come June 30, 2023, Microsoft will disconnect your financial institutions from any Money in Excel workbooks you have, and you won’t be able to refresh transitions. The data in the workbook will stay in place, however, and you even can take advantage of an offer from Tiller to enjoy a 60-day of personal finance spreadsheet service.
As for Wolfram Data Types in Excel, this too was introduced in June 2020. Yet come June 11, 2023, you’ll no longer be able to add new Wolfram data types. This means you won’t be able to refresh data, follow links, view new images, or download templates with Wolfram data.
The last of the features removed in Excel isn’t really an Excel feature. Rather, it’s a partner feature. Typically you’d be able to go to an offers website and enjoy discounts on things like Shutterfly, Pocket, and Experian ID protection. But come June 30, these will no longer be available. So, you might want to redeem these as they last if you’re a Microsoft 365 subscriber.
