Facebook Beta for Windows Phone gets a minor update, Kaspersky Safe Browser debuts

Microsoft’s official Facebook Beta app for Windows Phone has received a minor update today. If that doesn’t interest you, Kaspersky has rolled out its very own internet browser for Windows Phone, which aims to keep you safe online!

“Facebook for Windows Phone makes it easy to stay connected and share information with friends. Thanks for being a part of our beta and helping make Facebook even better on Windows Phone. Along with all the great new features, there could be some bugs. Help us build a better app by sending feedback via Settings > Feedback in the app,” the app description reads.

This minor update addresses bugs and improves performance, along with bumping the version number to 5.2.2.1. If you are a heavy Facebook user looking to have the newest fixes and features before everyone else, snag this Beta app!

On the other hand, Kaspersky has rolled out Kaspersky Safe Browser – a free app “designed to help you browse the web safely and protect your personal or corporate data against theft.” Windows Phone might be safer than rivals Android and iOS, but you can never be too safe.

The browser is similar to Internet Explorer, except the tabs are organized in lists rather than blocks and you can quickly refresh the page from the address bar, rather than going into the app settings. If you are looking for protection against malicious and phishing websites, this browser will give you the added piece of mind.
