Facebook beta gets an update only bringing general fixes and improvements

Microsoft has been testing features on the Facebook app via a beta app which was updated on Thursday the 4th. This update brings a range of bugs fixes to different parts of the app, but this update does not offer any new features. Ever since the app has been redesigned to look like its Android and iOS counterparts, the app has been fairly functional.

New in this version of the Facebook beta app:

  • Localization Fixes
  • Fixes related to viewing sticker comments
  • Fixes related to feed resiliency and navigation
  • UI fixes related to issues with light theme
  • General bug fixes
  • Performance improvements

Since the beta app is seeing these changes now it is a good assumption that these will be included in the next update to the Facebook app. Big feature additions are always tested via the beta app before they are released to the standard app, so it is safe to say there are no big changes soon for Facebook on Windows Phone.
