Nokia launched the budget-friendly sibling of the Nokia Lumia 1520, dubbed as Nokia Lumia 1320 in October which was expected to hit retail in the first half of 2014. After India, Nokia Malaysia has announced the availability of the Nokia Lumia 1320 for just RM1,199 (almost $367) and it will go on sale starting Friday, January 17th.
“Building on the success of the Lumia 1520, we looked to further expand our innovation offering by bringing the best Lumia experiences from Nokia and the latest from Windows Phone to a large screen smartphone, at a more affordable price. With its large screen, warm and playful design and our rich imaging experience, the Nokia Lumia 1320 is an integral addition to our Windows Phone portfolio,” says Dick Yoong, Country Manager for Malaysia and Brunei, Nokia.
The Nokia Lumia 1320 comes with many traits that are found inside its big brother, and rocks a 6-inch display with a 720p resolution compared to the 1080p that is found inside the flagship. Under the hood, the Nokia Lumia 1320 features a dual-core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.7GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card of up to 64GB.
Other features include a 5MP camera, a massive 3,400 mAh battery, VGA front-facing camera, a couple of pre-loaded Nokia apps and runs Windows Phone 8 Lumia Black pre-installed out of the box. The handset will hit the shelves in three colors: black, yellow and white.
