The company yesterday revealed the next update to the operating system, Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1. Hence, as you might have guessed, there are many people who are wondering if they will be able to get the newest update, which is apparently arriving next week.

And the answer is yes. Addressing a fellow user’s question, Windows Phone’s VP Joe Belfiore clarified that those with Windows Phone Developer Preview installed on their handset, will automatically snag Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 next week.
Why you should care about the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1? Because it brings several new features and tons of improvements. In addition, with the update, the voice assistant service, Cortana is also going new places such as China, Australia, and India.
