Details about the purported lumia 940 xl surfaces

Not too long, we heard about the details of the purported Lumia 940 XL — apparently the bigger version of the Lumia 940 which was leaked last week and was spotted on a benchmarking website as well. The folks at NokiaPowerUser, citing their own sources, once again revealed information about the alleged Lumia 940 XL.

Microsoft adopted a new approach with the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL, by launching two devices with a similar set of specifications, but with a minor changes in the display and camera department.

As far as the purported Lumia 940 XL is concerned, the handset is expected to feature a bigger 5.7-inch display with a slim design and a metal frame. The processor will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for expandable storage, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 20MP main PureView camera for photos and videos, and will feature native pen support as well.

The report continues to mention that it will support Continuum for phones which was demonstrated at Build 2015, which adapts the interface according to the display its connected to. Furthermore, it will also support USB Type-C support as well as an Iris scanner.

There’s no official confirmation from Microsoft about the existence of any such device, except that there will be a flagship Windows 10 Mobile device later this year. Windows 10 will be available for desktop in July, followed by other devices, including Windows 10 Mobile. So, we’d suggest our readers to take this with an appropriate amount of salt until the software giant reveals information about it.

Stay tuned to WinBeta, we’ll update you as soon as we get to hear anything more about the upcoming flagship device from the Redmond-based company.
