Dell Goes Private For $24.4 Billion, Microsoft Helps And Offers Up $2 Billion – onmsft.com

Dell recently announced that it was planning to go private in an attempt to save the company. Other large companies such as Microsoft have decided to help them out by loaning money to Dell, Microsoft offered up a rather large amount of $2 billion.

The money is supposed to help Dell out without it looking like favouritism, although that may be a tough job, as they did just offer up $2 billion. “Microsoft is taking a more neutral stance, not giving Dell a favored nation status among their PC partners,” said one an analyst.
