The Creators Update is bringing new ways to become hands on with Windows 10, including adding a virtual touchpad. In the latest Insider preview build 14965, we saw the addition of the virtual touchpad for tablet devices to replace the mouse when necessary. This is turned on by a holding press on the taskbar and selecting Touchpad from the options. Then you can navigate to Settings > Devices > Touchpad, and change settings for both your physical touchpad and the new virtual touchpad.

The functionality is created especially for those moments that you don’t have a mouse whether by choice or preference.
