Check out Microsoft's interactive Windows Phone 8.1 demo, see Cortana in action

Over at the Nokia website, there is an emulator that has been created in the form of a webpage that allows you to take Windows Phone 8.1 for a spin. The webpage features the heading, “Windows on your phone – What would you like to do?” You can take Microsoft’s newest mobile operating system for a spin and see it in action right on the webpage.

The webpage (which was first spotted by Coolsmartphone.com) features a set of links to various operating system features, such as making a call, doing a search, taking photos, personalizing your home screen, and more. Clicking on these links will open up a video demonstration, allowing you to quickly see what the feature consists of.

You can also see Cortana, the new digital assistant, in action. The webpage showcases how you can track a flight, stay in touch with friends, get reminders, keep on top of your calendar, and more.

The webpage doesn’t showcase anything new, as most of us have already seen or tested the developer preview of Windows Phone 8.1 by now. But if you are interested in checking out the operating system’s newest features in an interactive format, this webpage is worth taking a look at.

Head over to try.nokia.com/desktop or try.nokia.com/mobile/ and give the demonstration a try. Windows Phone 8.1 has begun to roll out to various parts of the globe as of last week.

Thanks Anon and ANKR for the tip!
