Call + SMS for Windows 10 Mobile is going away in favor of Block and Filter – OnMSFT.com

It’s been over a year since Microsoft introduced the Call + SMS for Windows Phone, allowing users to block unwanted calls and messages. However, it appears Microsoft is finally saying goodbye to the Call + SMS Filter for Windows 10 Mobile in favor of Block and Filter feature, which is built-in within the operating system (via Windows Central).

The news came after the feature received an update. Users relying on the feature were told “We’re saying goodbye to Call + SMS Filter. For all the features you’re used to, use Block and Filter instead.” The new Windows 10 Mobile feature serves the same purpose, giving you more control of who can call or SMS you, so it makes sense for Microsoft to shut it down as having multiple things offering the same feature isn’t too fruitful.
