The Bunker, provider of Ultra* Secure Data Centre and Managed Services, is pleased to announce it has won the prestigious Technology Innovation Award, at the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 annual dinner.

The Bunker was named as one of Britain’s most successful private technology businesses in the 2010 Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 earlier this year and was delighted to be announced as the winner of the Technology Innovation category on Tuesday 16th November.

The Tech Track 100 award for technology innovation, sponsored by Microsoft, was presented by the UK Business and Marketing Officer for Microsoft, Scott Dodds, to Chief Operating Officer, Simon Neal, and Chief Technical Officer, Paul Lightfoot of The Bunker.

Simon Neal commented, “We are thrilled to be recognised for our technological innovation by such a prominent panel. We strive to deliver an outstanding service based around security, and innovate to meet the market’s demands of flexibility and return on investment. It is an honour to receive this recognition in the Tech Track 100 awards. This award endorses all of the hard work and effort that The Bunker team have put in over the years.’’

He added, “This achievement comes at a very exciting time for The Bunker. We have recently launched our Secure Hybrid Cloud service, which offers the flexibility of cloud computing with the security that only The Bunker can provide – this is in line with the market’s requirements for cloud computing as highlighted in the Tech Track listing.

The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s 100 private tech (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest three years. Tech Track 100 is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each September.
