Try your luck and sign up for the new Bing, Microsoft might let you skip the waitlist

First spotted by the folks over at Windows Central, it appears that Microsoft has done away with the waitlist to preview the new Bing. Ever since its debut, millions of users signed up and joined the waitlist with the aim of getting to preview the tool.

Microsoft has previously indicated that it has expedited the process and it is approving thousands of requests in a bid to get more people off the waitlist. The company has also provided key requirements that users need to meet in order to access it such as having their birth dates correctly entered in their Microsoft Account profiles.

But still, a lot of requests are pending. However, it now seems that anyone can sign up and get immediate access to the new Bing-powered by ChatGPT without having to join the waitlist.

Microsoft hasn’t scrapped Bing’s waitlist, the communications director at Microsoft, Caitlin Roulston told The Verge. The director indicated that the new Bing is still in preview and that some users might be able to access the new Bing at sign-up and skip the waitlist bit because the team behind the tool is running numerous tests which has in turn accelerated access to the new Bing for some users.

The change comes a day to Microsoft’s virtual event, “Future of Work with AI” where we expect Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella alongside Jared Spataro to speak on how AI will power a whole new way of working for every person and organization.

The company has been busy at working pushing updates to the tool with the aim of enhancing its user experience, Microsoft had placed a cap on the tool limiting how users interact with it but has been gradually expanding them, the daily chat turn limit stands at 150.

In related news, Microsoft Edge’s latest version also shipped with a copilot designed to let you boost your productivity and efficiency by providing intelligent suggestions and insights based on the context of the web page and the user’s goals.

Sign up to preview the new Bing now, be sure to also let us know if you get immediate access in the comments.
