British Airways app for Windows Phone receives major update

British Airways released their Windows Phone app back when Windows Phone 7 was Microsoft’s flagship mobile operating system, with the app slowly receiving rather minor updates along the way to what they offer on Windows Phone 8. Although, the app still stood out from its iOS and Android counterparts thanks to features such as Live Tiles.

Recently, the British Airways app for Windows Phone saw a significant update that introduced a refreshed UI that better aligns it with the Modern UI guidelines as well as a collection of new features. The app description reads:

“The British Airways app makes booking, boarding and accessing everything about your flights easier than ever before. Personalized to you, the app gives you instant access to the information you need, when you need it.”

Some of the more “personalized” touches include gorgeous pictures of landmarks and places to visit from your destination displayed on the app home screen and Live Tile. You can also easily search for flights, and book and manage flight details. As your flight date and time nears, you can quickly check in and download your mobile boarding pass that will be scanned at the airport.
