Microsoft Teams’ new version set to be generally available from October

According to the latest update on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the new Microsoft Teams is tentatively expected to start rolling out in October. This updated version has been available for public preview since its announcement earlier this year, and now we have got a better idea of when it might be officially released for everyone.

It’s important to note that the new Teams update isn’t limited to Windows users alone. Anupam Pattnaik, Microsoft’s Product Lead, has mentioned that the improved Teams application will later become available to Mac, web, and VDI users.

The roadmap for Microsoft 365 further confirms that the new Teams will be accessible on various platforms, including “Desktop, Android, Web, Mac, iOS,” starting this October.

While the current plan outlines the expected release schedule, it’s good to keep in mind that Microsoft retains the flexibility to adjust these dates if needed.
