Microsoft launches Bing Chat Enterprise in Windows Copilot preview

Today, Microsoft announced the rollout of Bing Chat Enterprise in the Windows Copilot Preview, available to eligible commercial customers in the Dev Channel and some customers in the Beta Channel. This offers a major advantage to enterprises already using Bing Chat Enterprise, as they will not have to perform additional steps to enable it in the Windows Copilot Preview.

Bing Chat Enterprise gives your organization AI-powered chat with commercial data protection. In July, we made Bing Chat Enterprise available in preview on Bing.com and the Edge sidebar, said the tech giant in a blog post.

Bing Chat Enterprise: What’s New?

Essentially, from the employee’s perspective, the Bing Chat experience remains consistent, although the presentation will now be aligned with the Bing Chat Enterprise branding.

There’s also a constant reminder under each prompt indicating that both personal and corporate data are safeguarded — a crucial feature in an era where privacy concerns are at the forefront of many discussions.

However, the more significant changes lie ‘under the hood,’ intended mainly for IT Pros and other individuals in charge of data protection and compliance. The transition to Bing Chat Enterprise means organizations will be able to utilize Windows Copilot with the assurance that their data is secured.

To elaborate, chat data will neither be stored nor accessible to Microsoft and won’t be used for training the underlying models, thus ensuring complete data privacy.

Windows Copilot Preview Availability

The Windows Copilot Preview has been launched to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. Further rollouts to Insiders in the Beta Channel are in progress.

Just click the “…” icon at the top right of the side bar in Windows Copilot to submit feedback on any issues you run into, Microsoft tells users.

Stay tuned for further updates on Microsoft Windows Copilot Preview and Bing Chat Enterprise.
