Over this past winter we heard a little about Titanfall’s upcoming sequel. It was revealed in interviews with members of the Respawn Entertainment team of that Titanfall 2 will see welcomed additions of a single player campaign and potentially a TV-series spin-off based on the Titanfall story.
Today though we got a brief look at Titanfall 2 with a new Teaser Trailer. Not much is revealed during the trailer. There is an ominous sounding voiceover warning the viewer about the problem with wanting to be the hero. The camera approaches a pilot’s pod which appears to have crash-landed on one of the Frontier planets. But then just at the end, we get to see a Titanfall’s leg step into frame as it thrusts a giant blade into the ground. So the first possible reveal of Titanfall 2 might be melee weapons for Titanfalls, possibly getting to wield a large machete-like blade when you are piloting one of Titanfalls.
The teaser trailer ends with a fade to black and promises a full worldwide reveal of Titanfall 2 on June 12. That date is just prior to E3, which EA (publisher of Titanfall 2) will not be attending this year. Instead they will be having their own press event, something other big names have done recently instead of attending the E3 convention. Titanfall 2 is slated for sometime later this year. Hopefully, that means it will be launching sometime before this holiday season since it will be revealed in June, but until then we’ll just have to wait for the official date. When it releases it will not be just limited to Xbox and PC like Titanfall was originally, as the sequel will also launch on PS4.
