Diablo IV on Game Pass isn’t happening anytime soon according to Blizzard president

Blizzard president Mike Ybarra has publicly set the record straight regarding rumors that Diablo IV would be heading to Xbox Game Pass imminently.

The rumor in question began circulating when a banner for the game appeared on the Brazilian payment app PicPay.

Diablo 4 not coming to Game Pass

As seen in the above screen shot, the banner states that Diablo IV is available now on Xbox Game Pass. While many thought this was an accidental leak, the authenticity of the image now seems dubious given Ybarra’s terse repudiation. The banner has since been deleted from PicPay.

Diablo IV has seen tremendous success both critically and commercially since its launch a little over a month ago. It quickly became Blizzard’s most successful game ever. And while it may not be coming to Game Pass in the near future, it’s a safe bet that we’ll see many Activision Blizzard titles headed there if and when Microsoft’s acquisition of the game publishing giant concludes.
