Microsoft Build 2016 developer’s conference has been pretty light on Windows 10 Mobile information. Microsoft went so far as to say that Windows on phones will not be much of a priority in 2016. That’s bad news for Windows phone fans, of course, but it doesn’t mean that Microsoft is completely leaving the most mobile of devices off their roadmap.
In fact, a session was dedicated to Continuum on Phone, where Microsoft highlighted a few upcoming features. Included in what should be arriving this summer with the Anniversary Update are the following:
- Casting a Windows 10 Mobile device screen to a Windows 10 PC in a window or full screen
- Highlights of using the Remote Desktop and Azure Remote apps through Continuum to run full Win32 apps on a phone
- Support for the Xbox One controller in Continuum
And so, work continues on Windows 10 Mobile, even if Microsoft isn’t giving it as much attention as we’d like. Check out the video, and let us know in the comments what you think about Microsoft’s Windows phone plans.
