Over the weekend, many editions of the Windows 8 RTM leaked onto the web, which means all the unfinished or disabled features on the Release Preview are now ready for use. For example, some Xbox LIVE enabled games on the Windows Store now allow you to unlock achievements, this wasn’t enabled on the Release Preview.
Currently, only some games are allowing achievements to be unlocked, others still are saying no by giving an error when trying to sign into live. Either way, the games that do allow you to unlock achievements are working well, they show up on screen, in-game, and on Xbox.com!
We expect more games to enable Achievements before Windows 8 launches in October later this year.
