Microsoft recently rolled out an update to its Xbox 360 console with the addition of Internet Explorer, but now the company is on the verge of launching Xbox SmartGlass, which brings Xbox Entertainment from the console to your phone, tablet, and PC. Check out this walkthrough after the break!

Xbox SmartGlass will be a free downloadable app that works on Windows 8 and Windows RT, as well as Apple’s iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 8. It allows you to convert your mobile device into a smart second screen for entertainment. Microsoft will launch Xbox Music, Xbox Video, Xbox Games, and Xbox SmartGlass around the time Windows 8 and WP8 is launched. “This week, with the launch of Windows 8, followed shortly thereafter by Windows Phone 8 devices, we’ll flip the switch on that transformation with the launches of four new experiences that make entertainment better on every screen in your life,” Microsoft stated.
