Microsoft’s Xbox One entertainment console is set for launch on November 22nd, but that’s not stopping the media from finding out as much juicy details as possible about the new console. Microsoft’s Xbox One Chief Platform Architect Marc Whitten recently answered several questions from IGN and offered a better insight on what we can expect with the Xbox One.

When asked about the “day one” update that every Xbox One console will receive, Whitten stated, “We are optimizing Xbox One so that the day one update is as fast as possible. While we’re still finalizing the details, we expect that the download will take between 15 and 20 minutes for most users.”

Whitten also stated that game developers can harness the power of the cloud and utilize Microsoft’s cloud services. He also stated that Microsoft will continue to update the Xbox One dashboard like they currently do with the Xbox 360.

When asked if Twitter and Facebook would return, Whitten stated, “We continue to work with great partners to bring the best app experiences to Xbox One. While I can’t comment on the specifics of these two partners right now, at launch you will be able to access Twitter and Facebook through the Internet Explorer web browser on Xbox One at launch.”

He also mentioned that there will be a “Play and Charge kit” that includes a rechargeable battery and micro-USB cable, with a charging indicator light. This will recharge your controller and will be available at launch for $24.99.
