We have heard about Windows Blue, the update for Windows 8 that is currently being worked on by Microsoft. Then we heard about how Blue might encompass more than just Windows 8, but rather Windows Phone 8 as well. Now, more details have surfaced revealing just a bit more on the mysterious Blue update.

“Windows Phone Blue is the Windows Phone OS update designed to bring the Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone 8 app models and developer platforms more into sync. Supposedly the Windows Blue update includes new programming interfaces, kernel updates and some user interface enhancements (though nothing too major on the UI front, I’ve heard),” Mary Jo Foley reported on her blog. In other words, Blue will sync Microsoft’s major platforms such as Windows 8, Windows RT, and Windows Phone 8. For those who are running Windows Phone 8, you need not worry as Microsoft has apparently stated that WP8 users will most likely receive the Blue update. As of right now, there are going to be two more updates slated for Windows Phone 8, then the Blue update will make its appearance. More on Blue as details emerge.
