Windows Phone 8.1 Notification Center shown off on video, looks promising

One of the most highly anticipated features of Windows Phone 8.1 is the Action Center, also known as the Notification Center. A new video demonstrating the feature as been released, from the same guys who demonstrated the Swype keyboard functionality just recently.

As you can see from the video, embedded below for your viewing pleasure, Windows Phone 8.1 comes with an Action Center, which can be accessed by swiping down from the top of the screen.

The Action Center features four toggles, allowing you to adjust the Internet Sharing settings, GPS settings, display settings, and rotation lock. You can even customize the toggles and put your favorite settings for quick access.

Multiple notifications are also shown on the Action Center, similar to the functionality on Android.

Just recently, two Windows Phone developers took time out of their busy app development schedule to put together a comprehensive list of all the available (and hidden) features in Windows Phone 8.1. While the list of features may be long, keep in mind that not all features may make it to the final update. Head over here to take a look at the list.

Microsoft is set to talk more about Windows Phone 8.1, the next big update for the mobile platform, during the BUILD 2014 Developer Conference in April. Windows Phone 8.1 is expected to roll out around the time of the BUILD Developer Conference, which takes place April 2nd to April 4th.
