For those that dont know, Windows Phone 8 features the ability to backup your high resolution pictures and videos to your SkyDrive account. However, this feature was only available in limited markets. Not anymore.
\
Microsoft has announced in an official blog post that all Windows Phone 8 users, no matter their location, may now use this functionality. “Today I am pleased to announce that we’re making the ability to back up full-res photos and videos available everywhere. (We just started to light this up, so be patient if you don’t see it right away. The change could take a few days to roll out around the globe.)” Microsoft stated.
\
In order to use this feature on Windows Phone 8, simply tap Photos > More > Settings > SkyDrive. Then tap Best quality to upload your photos or videos in the highest resolution. This feature requires a WiFi connection, in order to save you from an expensive internet bill. For those wondering why it took so long, Microsoft “deliberately” took things slow and “planned a staged roll out of the feature” due to this feature involving a lot of data.
