Windows Insider Program gets 173,624 new members just one day after Windows 10 event

On January 21st, Microsoft held a Windows 10 event for select media members, showcasing the company’s progress with Cortana, the new Spartan browser, and much more. During the event, Microsoft revealed that over 1.7 million Windows Insiders who are helping providing over 800,000 bits of feedback. Back in December of 2014,  there were 1.5 million insiders with over 450,000 of them being highly active.

In a new tweet today by Gabriel Aul, the man who is front and center with Windows 10, we have learned that the Windows Insider Program has earned 173,624 new members just one day after the Windows 10 event. Clearly, these new Insiders were looking forward to getting their hands on a build of Windows 10 — which wont be arriving until next week. Let’s hope these new Insiders are active and provide feedback!

Welcome! To the 173,624 new #WindowsInsiders who signed up since our #Windows10 event yesterday!
