Windows 8.1-powered Iconia W4 3G tablet launched in India for Rs 29,999

Acer is expanding its tablet portfolio in India. The company launched the Windows 8.1 powered Iconia W4 tablet in India last December, and as promised, it is bringing the 3G variant of the device later this week. Starting this Saturday (May 3), you’ll be able to buy the Iconia W4 3G tablet for Rs 29,999. Furthermore, If you pre-order now, you will get a Crunch Cover worth Rs 2,999 for free.

The company touts Iconia W4 tablet’s tremendous sales and believes that people will appreciate the SIM card slot and 3G data connectivity that W4 3G has to offer. Like the WiFi only version, the new one also has Microsoft Office Home with Student 2013 pre-installed on the device.

For a refresher, Iconia W4 3G has an 8-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. Powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3740 ‘Bay Trail-T’ processor and coupled with 2 gigs of LPDDR3 RAM, the device runs Windows 8.1. A 2MP front facing camera and 5MP shooter at the back make the device attractive.

On the connectivity front, it has support for WiFi, 3G, Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI, and Bluetooth. As for storage, it comes with 64 GB internal memory, which you can expand up to 32GB via microSD card. It has a 4960 mAh battery powering the device.

The WiFi only version of Iconia W4 is also available on sale. While the 32GB variant costs Rs 24,999, the 64GB can be bought for Rs 26,999.
