New screenshots have hit the internet showcasing Windows 8 Core which appears to be the Starter Edition of the upcoming Windows 8 operating system. Not much is known about the edition except that Windows Media Center is no where to be seen.

According to WinUnleaked, this edition of Windows 8 is still being worked on by Microsoft and we believe it could represent the Starter Edition of Windows 8. A recent report showed proof that Microsoft was working on creating nine different editions for Windows 8, including Starter Edition. Based on these screenshots, there isn’t much to report except that there are not many apps installed. Could this be Windows 8 Starter Edition and will we see this in certain OEM branded PCs and tablets? You be the judge.
