Windows 10 build 18362 ships to Slow Ring Insiders, Creative X-Fi bug looks to be fixed as 19H1 nears completion

Microsoft is close to be done with the Windows 10 19H1 update as Fast Ring and Slow Ring Insiders are now on the same page. Indeed, the preview build 18362 is now available on the Slow Ring, just two days after it first shipped to Fast Ring Insiders.

The build 18362 fixed a bug causing the Microsoft Store to not automatically install app updates on PCs, as well as another bug related to the Connect app crashing on launch for some users. However, there are still three known issues in this build including one related to anti-cheat software, and another one related to some Realtek SD Card readers. The incompatibility issue with Creative X-Fi sound cards should be fixed following the release of new drivers, but Brandon LeBlanc from the Windows Insider team said that Microsoft is still in the process of validating that fix.

We are doing our own validation over here before we cross it off the list officially but good folks are reporting the issue being fixed!

Now that both Fast and Slow Ring Insiders are running the same build, it shouldn’t be long before Insiders on the Release Preview ring receive their first 19H1 build. That could happen as soon as next week. Microsoft no longer announces when a build reaches “RTM” status, but we’ll know when Microsoft starts to release a series of cumulative updates for a specific build.
