Windows 10 build 10130 now available to slow ring participants

Windows 10 Insider Preview build 10130 is now available for download in ISO format. Microsoft released build 10130 to the fast ring on Friday May 29th and will not be releasing this build to the slow ring due to several bugs that have yet to be squashed. Now that new builds are nearing feature completion, Microsoft is focusing more on the design of the OS, so you should see updates to icons, the design of jumplists, and the action center in addition to new feature improvements.

“Hi everyone, today we are releasing the ISOs for Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10130. We are not, however, releasing Build 10130 to the Slow ring due to several bugs we’re looking to fix. Once we have these fixes in hand and ready to push out to Windows Update, we’ll consider pushing Build 10130 to the Slow ring. I know we said we would only release ISOs if we push a build to the Slow ring but we’re making a special exception today. We know that a bunch of Windows Insiders on the Fast ring are currently blocked getting to the latest build due a 0x80146017 error. With the ISOs, they can mount the image and upgrade directly from the ISO and get unblocked,” Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul stated in an official blog post.

Changes in build 10130 include improvements to Start, the UI and more. You can pin things to the list area of the Start Menu. You can pin them by enabling them in the Settings app. Not only that but the Apps List now alerts you that there’s a new app in the Apps List with a ‘New!’ indicator. Finally, icons have been updated too. They look a lot nicer than previous, and are the same icons seen in a concept art released by Microsoft back at WinHEC. You can check out our hands on video of the build below. Download the ISO from the link below.
