Halo 5

This Week on Xbox (TWOX) is a YouTube show presented by Larry Hryb, otherwise known as Xbox’s Major Nelson, which informs Xbox fans and users on the latest updates in the world of Xbox. In this week’s installment, there are no big game announcements but he does cover some cool stuff. Read on to find out more:

Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2

The first Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare was a huge hit on multiple platforms. Players pick either the Plant or Zombie team and duke it out resulting in explosive and entertaining action. The second edition introduces split screen gameplay and up to 24 players in competitive play.

Mega Bloks Halo Warzone Map

The guys over at Mega Bloks took on the challenge of creating the Halo 5 Warzone Map: Raid on Apex 7. The final construction looked pretty incredible with working lights, and it ended up weighing half a ton. It took 16 weeks and over 89 thousand blocks to complete.

Halo 5 iDoc: A Hero Reborn

If you missed the release of this iDoc during E3, this project is definitely worth checking out. The team at 343 Studios talk about the journey they’ve taken to get this far, and they even reveal a few nuggets about the forthcoming game.

Larry also briefly covers:

Jade Redmond is a pretty big deal in the game industry. Amongst other things, she’s the co-creator of the Assasin’s Creed game series, and now she’s just founded a new Studio called Motive. There are rumors that the studio may be lending some input into the next Mass Effect game.

The Witcher is a sprawling role-playing action game in a medieval fantasy world where you play a “Witcher” who uses special powers and swords to take on enemies such as giants and wolves. In recent news, the game has gotten its first patch.  The update includes lots of fixes and features such as a “stash ability” where players can hide loot around the game world.

This week there are some new independent releases under the [email protected] program:

  • The Fall – This features a unique combination of an adventure game, puzzle solver and action packed side scroller.
  • So Many Me – This involves some clever and challenging puzzles and looks great at the same time.
  • Tachyon Project – A dual-stick shooting game with plenty of action and some innovative stealth gameplay.

Finally, if you ever wanted to know how to add up to 4TB of storage to your Xbox One, Larry will tell you how.
