NFC Tap to Pay is finally coming to select Windows-powered phone models as part of the Wallet 2.0 update; not all users will get it, however, reports Windows Central.
Specifically, this roll out is only for Insiders on the Windows 10 Mobile Fast Ring, who are also owners of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, among other select phones (the Lumia 950 have been tested and confirmed to support the feature ). There is another catch: the feature is also currently US-only.
If you have all of the aforementioned attributes, then Wallet 2.0, and subsequently, NFC Tap to Pay, should be available to you from the Windows Store. NFC Tap to Pay will allow you to add credit and debit cards to pay with your phone with any supported locations (including those that supports Apple and Android Pay. The feature should see a wider release with the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary Update; the final list of supported phones and regions, however, remains a mystery.
