Valve to give away over 100 Steam Decks during The Game Awards – onmsft.com

If you weren’t already excited for the upcoming Game Awards 2022, you now have another reason because Valve will be giving away a Steam Deck every minute throughout the event. This means more than 100 Steam Decks (the 512GB version) will be given out in all, making your chances of getting lucky a little better.

There are a few snags for those hoping to win one of Valve’s handheld gaming PCs, however. First, you can only enter to win if you are in a location where Steam Decks are currently shipped: U.S., Canada, U.K and E.U. We reported earlier this week that the Steam Deck will release in select Asian markets on December 17th, so unfortunately folks there are going to just miss out on the giveaway.

Watch #TheGameAwards live on Steam next Thursday and you could win a FREE Steam Deck!

You will need to register on the official giveaway page prior, and you’ll need to be watching the broadcast on Steam TV. To be eligible to win, you must have made a purchase on Steam between November 14th, 2021 and November 14th, 2022 to verify your country and that your account is valid. During the show Valve will draw a name from the registrant pool every minute and announce the winners in chat.

The 2022 Game Awards will stream Thursday, December 8th starting at 7:30 EST.
