Homefront: The Revolution, an Xbox One exclusive open-world FPS game of resistance and guerilla warfare, has had through a road in getting to market. Delays have marred the platform’s progress since we reported on the game last year, but retailer Target may have accidentally the game’s release date, according to Cnet.

Delays have marred the platform’s progress since we reported on the game last year, but retailer Target may have accidentally the game’s release date,

Essentially, some of Target’s retain pre-order materials were let loose, including a reservation card indicating a release date of Tuesday, May 17. According to Cnet:

The project has lingered for years due to a number of obstacles such as former publisher THQ’s bankruptcy, as well as previous money problems at its second owner Crytek. Its latest proprietor, Koch Media, declined to comment on the leak, aside from stating that Homefront: The Revolution is scheduled to ship “Spring 2016.”

And so, getting the game to market at all seems like a coup, and a late Spring release date is likely better than never. We’ll keep you updated on the game and its alleged release date as we learn more.
