Microsoft’s new Surface Pro 8 may have leaked ahead of the company’s Surface event next week on September 22. Earlier today, the Twitter account @Shadow_Leak (via The Verge) published a picture of a marketing image in Chinese showing what could be the Surface Pro 8, and the slimmer profile and narrower bezels make it easy to mistake it for a Surface Pro X.

The marketing image mentions the presence of 11th gen Intel processors, a 13” 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and Thunderbolt ports. The tablet will also come with Windows 11 pre-installed, which comes as no surprise as the OS will be officially released on October 5.

According to The Verge, the presence of a 120Hz display and Thunderbolt ports is right in line with what they heard about the Surface Pro 8 from their own sources. Moreover, the Surface Pro 8 is expected to adopt the same removable SSD system that Microsoft previously introduced on the Surface Pro X, the Surface Pro 7+, and the Surface Laptop 4.

With Windows 11 being a great opportunity for PC manufacturers to launch new PCs this holiday season, Microsoft’s Surface event next week is expected to be one of its biggest yet. In addition to a new Surface Pro 8, the company is also expected to reveal the Surface Duo 2, the Surface Go 3, as well as a redesigned Surface Book 4 with a non-detachable screen. You can learn more about what we expect from the event in our previous post.
