Microsoft has released a new firmware update for the Surface Duo 2, its dual-screen phone powered by Android. The latest update brings this month’s Android security patch, and it also comes with a handful of fixes and improvements to stability and reliability.
The December 2021 update bumps up the latest Surface Duo software version to 2021.923.272. It includes some new features, such as the ability to launch OneNote by clicking the Surface Slim Pen button. Microsoft has also added new default settings related to the device’s behavior when folded. You can see the full changelog below:

To update the Surface Duo 2, you will need to head to Settings > System > System update > Check for update. It is important to note that this firmware update is rolling out gradually, and it may take some time to reach your device.
